Please Forgive Me – Rev Owusu Bempah Pleads With IGP for Mercy

Founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministers International Rev Owusu Bempah has been in the news the whole of this week after he and 3 of his junior pastors were arrested and detained by the police.

During his first court hearing on Monday September 13, 2021, the man of God was denied bail and sent back to the prison cells.

Later that evening it was reported he had fallen ill and had been taken to the police hospital for treatment.

According to sources the man of God on his hospital bed was guarded by several policemen despite having been handcuffed.

This did not go down well with some NPP members such as Hopeson Adorye who were present at the scene.

This led to a scuffle between them and the police who threatened to shoot them if they continued with this attitude.

It is said that the refusal to grant Rev Owusu Bempah bail and he been handcuffed even at the hospital was an ‘order from above.’

Rev Owusu Bempah who believed the order from above was one from the IGP decided to plead with him for forgiveness.

With this Rev Owusu Bempah is believed to have told a trusted source to plead with the IGP thus Akuffo Dampare to forgive him if he has offended him in any way.

Police officers who were deployed to take care of the man of God also confirmed the Oder from above was indeed from the IGP.

Rev Owusu Bempah has however been granted bail and is set to appear before the court on September 20, 2021.
